Sebastian Stan aka the Winter Soldier has posted an on-set picture teasing Marvel fans worldwide of a potential revelation in the next film, Avengers: Infinity War.

Directors The Russo Brothers have previously confirmed Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) will no longer take on the superhero mantle of Captain America in the forthcoming film, but now Sebastian Stan, 34, has teased his character could be the one taking up the shield.

Taking to Instagram, the actor posted a picture of himself adorned with a fancy new silver shield, writing: ‘”Excuse… Read the full story

Have you heard of ROHHAD?

It’s a debilitating, life-limiting condition that affects children. It is also incredibly rare, affecting fewer than 100 children around the world.

But because so few people know what ROHHAD is, funding for research is seriously low – meaning that doctors have been as yet unable to find a cure, or any significant treatment.

Aaron Hunter, a seven-year-old sufferer from West Dunbartonshire in Scotland, is hoping to change that.

He’s started his own social media challenge called #GOMADJUMPFORROHHAD, where people film themselves splashing into puddles (who doesn’t love doing that?) and share them online.

The first Marvel 10 year cycle is coming to an end, and it’s more than likely that some of the most beloved characters in the MCU will disappear from the big screen following Avengers Four in 2019.

Speculation has been rife that Kevin Feige and the rest of the high-ups at Marvel Studios are intent on permanently retiring some superheroes as the first chapter of the MCU closes.

The Marvel Cinematic Universe has thus far spawned an impressive 18 movies in a little over ten years.

In that time we’ve seen heroes rise, galaxies saved and numerous villains get their comeuppance. There’s been plenty of memorable scenes within these movies of course, but some have undoubtedly made more of a lasting mark on the Cinematic Universe than others.

With Avengers: Infinity War due out on April 26 in the UK, we’ve taken the chance to look back and pick out the decisive moments that have come to define the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

When does Avengers 4 come out?
Just when do we get to find out how it all ends? (Pictures: Marvel)

Captain Marvel isn’t the only film Marvel fans have to look forward to in 2019 – Avengers 4 is also coming.

But, surprise surprise, Marvel isn’t giving too much away just yet.

It’s the dramatic climax for Marvel Studio’s decade-spanning story arc and speculation over what will happen in it will be ongoing until 2019.

So, without further ado, here’s everything we know so far…

When is Avengers 4 released?

Avengers 4 is slated to hit cinema screens on 26 April 2019 in the UK and 3 May 2019 in the US.

What will it be called?

Well, isn’t that the age-old question?

So far it is being known as the ‘Untitled Avengers Movie’, with Marvel yet to go on record with the Avengers: Infinity War spin-off’s name.

However, in June this year it was rumoured that it will be called Avengers: End Game after the film’s cinematograher Trent Opaloch appeared to let the cat out of the bag.

Infinity War has been chopped in two, so it’s just the other half of that, right?

WRONG! So, so, so wrong.

When it was first revealed that the Thanos/Infinity Gauntlet story would span two films this was the first reaction. People bemoaning that it was a Peter Jackson The Hobbit style cop-out.

And while the films were shot back-to-back the Russo brothers (co-directors Anthony and Joe) have been at pains to explain that it is a continuation of the story, as opposed to just the other half.

‘It was important for us, because we wanted, the experience we wanted to have at the end of this story was the sense of emotional completion. In terms of what the narrative was in the film,’ Anthony Russo told ComicBook.com.

‘And hopefully they’ll have that similar feeling…It’s serialised story-telling. The mission was to not make one long movie and get out the scissors and cut it in half. Because that’s never been the most fulfilling cinematic expression. So for us, the commitment was to try and put a beginning, middle, and end to this, and a beginning, middle, and end to that.’

There’s obviously an overall arc involving the Avengers and Thanos, but when and where the film picks up the action after Infinity War is anyone’s guess (Picture: Marvel)

So where does the story start in relation to the events in Infinity War?

There’s obviously an overall arc involving the Avengers and Thanos, but when and where the film picks up the action after Infinity War is anyone’s guess.

Speaking to us earlier this month in London Joe Russo teased where we can expect the story to go, and yes that means more ‘heartbreak’ for Marvel fans.

‘This is it,’ he explained. ‘Thanos is an unstoppable villain he’s virtually invincible, he’s highly intelligent – genius level intelligent – he’s like the Genghis Khan of the universe, and to stop him it’s going to cost them a lot. ‘They’re going to have to see if they’re willing to pay that price, and that’s what these movies are really about.’

Talking about a comment the brothers made about fans needing to prepare for a scare in the next instalment, he explained: ‘What we meant by that is to be prepared. What we want is for the audience to be prepared, as there’s a lot of surprises – there’s going to be a lot of humour and a lot of heartbreak.’

Who will be in the film?

While the cast details are still to be confirmed, according to the movie’s IMDB page, the following will all be starring in the sure-to-be epic movie:

Evangeline Lilly – Hope van Dyne / The Wasp
Karen Gillan – Nebula
Brie Larson – Carol Danvers / Captain Marvel
Josh Brolin – Thanos
Chris Hemsworth – Thor
Robert Downey Jr – Tony Stark / Iron Man
Scarlett Johansson – Natasha Romanoff / Black Widow
Chris Evans – Steve Rogers / Captain America
Jeremy Renner – Clint Barton / Hawkeye
Paul Rudd – Scott Lang / Ant-Man
Sebastian Stan – Bucky Barnes / Winter Soldier
Michelle Pfeiffer – Janet Van Dyne
Dave Bautista – Drax
Mark Ruffalo – Bruce Banner / Hulk
Chadwick Boseman – T’Challa / Black Panther

Terrence Howard makes up with Robert Downey Jr but says ‘f**k ‘em’ to Iron Man or Avengers

Terrence Howard will not be rejoining the Marvel Cinematic Universe anytime soon.

Marvel fans have long wondered whether Terrence, 49, would reprise his role as Rhodes in Iron Man or even join the ever-growing ensemble cast of the Avengers franchise.

Sadly, the Empire actor has splashed cold water on any hopes of his appearance in forthcoming installments of the blockbuster movies.

A fan called into Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live on Thursday and asked if there was any chance Terrence would agree to join Iron Man or Avengers now that he ‘seems cool’ with Robert Downey Jr after their epic falling out.

Terrence was infamously replaced by actor Don Cheadle for Iron Man 2 and 3 in the midst of his feud with RDJ.

Not one to mince his words, Terrence responded to the fan: ‘You know what’s so funny? Even though I love Don Cheadle so much and I love what he’s done, I still hear a lot of fans asking, “Am I going to come back and be War Machine? Am I going to come back and be War Machine?”

Terrence added: ‘I think they could have a huge franchise off of it. But fuck ‘em.’

Yikes.

Impressed by his honesty, supermodel Elle Macpherson, who also featured in the episode, chimed in: ‘Say it how it is.’

RDJ went on to star in the Avengers franchise but Terrence says no thanks (Picture: Marvel)

In 2013, Terrence shed light on his rivalry with Robert, 53, and accused Hollywood’s best-paid actor of ‘taking money’ that he should have received for playing Rhodes.

Coincidentally, Terrence told Andy Cohen five years ago: ‘It turns out that the person that I helped become Iron Man, when it was time to […] re-up for the second one took the money that was supposed to go to me and pushed me out.

‘They came to me [for] the second and said, “We will pay you one-eighth of what we contractually had for you, because we think the second one will be successful with or without you”. And I called my friend that I helped get the first job, and he didn’t call me back for three months.’

Terrence’s fortune did turn around a few years later when he landed the lead role in Fox’s hit series, Empire.

In the lead role of Iron Man, RDJ has gone on to star in several Avengers movies, including the most recent Infinity War earlier this year.

Explaining why they buried their hatchet, Terrence said in 2017: ‘We just realised that life is too short. We both realised. Life’s too short. Everybody is making money now.’

Avengers 4 theory suggests Tony Stark and Steve Rogers will reunite only in flashback

We haven’t seen these two together since Civil War (Picture: Marvel 2016)

While we eagerly await ANY information pertaining to the next Avengers, not out for another million years, punters have been forming their own theories du jour.

And us eager beavers have been keen to gobble up any ideas as to how the next instalment might begin, as we wrap up the latest phase in this MCU saga after the end of Infinity War saw us clutching all we hold close as Thanos’ evil Snap obliterated 50% of our love.

Now, one man in the know – whose on-point theories have often come to fruition in the past – thinks he knows what will go on in the opening scenes of Avengers 4…well, at least when it comes to Tony Stark and Steve Rogers.

Oh Cap… (Picture: Rex Features)

Fans have been wishing for a delightful reunion between the two, who didn’t fear spilling some bad blood way back in Civil War. Two years later, we were denied the blessed bringing together of two fan-favourites, after an Infinity War reunion was scrapped.

Now, MCU Cosmic’s Jeremy Conrad, who has been an oracle for many an MCU pundit, has shared his own thoughts on the time travel theory, which we’ve already covered, supporting the notion we’ll pick up not straight after the Snap, but rather in the future when the dust has settled.

‘Will there be a time jump in Avengers 4? Most likely yes,’ he wrote on Twitter on Monday.

However, more importantly, he felt we would only see our two Avengers reunite in a flashback and not in some moving scene at the beginning of the flick: ‘Will we not see Tony and Steve reunite? If it happens it’ll be a flashback as someone has to explain to Scott Lang what happened while he was stuck in the Quantum Realm.’

He added he covered it all on his podcast, before a barrage of replies came in asking for him to further clarify on what he meant by Iron Man and Cap reuniting only in flashback.

To be honest, he has to be on the money when it comes to Scott Lang, AKA Ant-Man. The poor sod has been getting about in the QR with no real idea what the eff is going on outside.

One perplexed fan asked: ‘So steve tony won’t see each other in present time? I don’t understand [sic].’

Jeremy replied: ‘They will. People want to see them reunite immediately after The Snap and go off and defeat Thanos minutes after he killed trillions. It completely lessons the impact if they do it that way.’

It might ‘lessen’ the effect, sure, but our hearts are on the line, here, mate!

You sort of forget about Ant-Man being stuck in the Quantum Realm and how it will all tie in with Avengers 4. As while Scott (played by Paul Rudd) wasn’t in Infinity War, he’s already been revealed as a part of the yet-to-be-titled next movie.

It’s highly unlikely the Russo brothers will have the man floating around in limbo for the coming instalment and as Jeremy hinted, someone has to get him out and tell him all about what’s gone down.

Personally we think BOTH Cap and Tones are up for the challenge, together, but hey…that’s none of our business.

Leaked Avengers 4 behind the scenes finally shows Pepper Potts in Rescue armour

Pepper suits up!

Still months out from any real Avengers news in the lead-up for the fourth instalment, new pictures have emerged of Gwyneth Paltrow in costume.

Pepper Potts has remained relatively quiet on the Avengers front, not being part of any great big chatter or leak.

Until now.

As the costumes of characters are designed, tested, tried on, a photo of Gwyn as PP has emerged on social media and there is a lot to unpack here as it looks like the CEO of Start Industries will surface as Rescue in Avengers 4.

A photo has been posted to account Uncanny Comic Quest that shows a recently-married Gwyneth in costume as Pepper, only she’s not sporting her usual business attire – she’s wearing the leather and armoured Rescue range, as she stands in front of a green screen.

Instagram Photo

In the comic series, Pepper gets an Iron Man suit of her own known as Rescue, and while her role in Infinity War really didn’t amount to much, this is the biggest hint yet she’s going to get in on the action this time around.

With half the universe obliterated by Thanos’ snap, we really could do with some more action heroes around now, too.

Recent leaks showed toy designs with a purple armour that was pretty similar to Iron Man’s but for a female.

Cue Pepper Potts, recently engaged to Tony Stark, too – is she out to avenge his honour should he come into any danger in the next movie?

While we don’t know where the image originally came from and it hasn’t been confirmed as her legit costume by Marvel – it doesn’t appear to be doctored or fake and we have seen some random leaks of both Captain America and Captain Marvel’s outfits for the coming release. So it wouldn’t be weird for images of Pep to be floating about.

It’s also not the craziest idea, having Pepper suit up to defeat Thanos in the next battle, after Marvel Studios head Kevin Feige claimed that the majority of superheroes in the MCU would soon be female.

Who run the world? Girls.

‘As the plan goes forward I think frankly we’ll be … you know, eventually I think we’re going to reach a time where it’s not just … listen, it would be amazing to see all of our female characters the way we have seen … most, never all male, but primarily male,’ he told CinemaBlend. ‘I think we’re getting to the point soon where we have so many great female characters that those are just our heroes as opposed to when are they all female, all male. It’s just the Marvel heroes, more than half of which will be women.’

While it was a little rambly, sure, it’s a great step and Pepper’s potential costume for the next film only gets us even more amped for a little MCU shakeup.

Avengers 4 is in cinemas 26 April 2019.

Avengers theory suggests Nick Fury knew about Thanos’ snap way back in Captain Marvel-era

We hope Nick Fury has some tricks up his sleeve (Picture: Rex Features)

One particular Avengers theory has hit the internet recently and it suggests Nick Fury, agent at spy organisation S.H.I.E.L.D, has known about everything that’s gone down throughout the whole MCU series thus far.

The Snap, Thanos’ arrival, the death of Tony Stark’s parents – the lot.

One Redditor has come up with the grand and incredibly deep theory that Nick in the 90s-based Captain Marvel will be told about the events of Infinity War – and more likely the happenings of other MCU films before they come to fruition – and will use his knowledge help Dr Strange save everyone who was obliterated at the end of the last Avengers flick.

That’s in its nutshell. Shall we dive deeper?

After the fateful snap wiped out half the population and left the remaining dear Avengers in shock, we’ll travel back to the 90s for Captain Marvel where Fury may begin to gather the intel he needs to save the universe via time travel when we revisit Avengers next year.

Russo Brothers wrap on Avengers 4
How can Dr Strange solve the issue of everyone being dead? (Picture: REX/Shutterstock)

In further detail, user sfmarch07 said: ‘I believe Nick Fury in the 90’s in the Captain Marvel movie will be shown or made aware of the future and future events, potentially even by Dr. Strange coming back in time from Infinity War, and he will be shown specific things that he and other characters have to do throughout the entire MCU to ultimately set up future events for how they need to be in order for the Avengers to win in Avengers 4, per Dr. Strange’s end game plan from the possible 1 out of 14 million outcomes. Meaning everything that has happened in MCU so far had to happen the way it did but more importantly was set up in certain cases to happen the way it did partly by Fury himself.’

Side note: remember at the end of Infinity War, right as he was pulverized, Nick was sending a message on a fancy pager – believed to be to Captain Marvel…

Borrowing many elements from past theories about time travel, the Infinity Stones and The Snap, the Redditor continued along a different vein as they then incorporated a Tony Stark theory suggesting Iron Man had to travel back in time and order the hit on his parents, Howard and Maria, to secure the Soul Stone and help defeat Thanos.

Big call, but he seemed to have the insight to back it up…in theory – but his main idea supports the notion Tony was the creator of his own origin story.

‘I think in A4 the Avengers will try and retrieve the stones from different points in time as has also been heavily speculated. In order to retrieve the soul stone though, Tony is going to have to sacrifice something, the same way Thanos had to sacrifice Gamora,’ they began.

Did Tony Stark create his own story? (Picture: Marvel)

‘But instead of sacrificing Pepper Potts, what if Tony instead has to go back in time to 1991 and infiltrate Hydra or seek out the Winter Soldier, and order the hit on his parents himself, sacrificing the thing he loves most, to enable him to get the Soul stone to fight against Thanos, knowing all the while what it will cause in the future and all the anguish it will personally cause him along with the events of Civil War, breaking up the Avengers, and everything that happens after that.’

They continued: ‘I don’t think its a coincidence either that Captain Marvel takes place in 1990 and Tony’s parents are killed in 1991.’

In doing this, they said a ‘time loop’ or ‘bootstrap paradox’ could have then been created, which means the original time line couldn’t have taken place without the time travel we might be seeing in the next instalment.

This also, according to the theory, ‘could ultimately be a big part of Dr Strange’s end game plan to ultimately defeat Thanos and undo the snap, just like he did against Dormammu’.

Sheesh there’s a lot to unpack there, but fans of the series were behind the theory as they took to the comments section and added their own thoughts.

‘Damn dude, that made me sit up in my chair. idk if this will happen but its certainly a fascinating concept. props to you for thinking this all up,’ one said. ‘Also fury knowing the future would help to explain a lot of his actions, which you addressed. i like that part, even if some of the rest of it might not happen, i think that’s probably true [sic].’

Another said: ‘This is really good. Even if some of the specific points don’t become canon, your idea that things were set up at various points especially by Nick Fury is pretty solid.’

One added: ‘I have to agree, Stark ordering the hit on his parents might be the best theory/ plot line I’ve heard through all of this post infinity war discussion. If that isn’t a plot point .. it needs to be.’

Guess we will just have to wait and see.

Only 6 months to go.

Avengers 4 theory predicts Katherine Langford will play Tony Stark and Pepper Potts’ daughter

Katherine has been cast in a mystery role (Picture: Getty)

Ever since Katherine Langford was announced as part of the cast for Avengers 4, we’ve been wondering just who she could be playing.

And a new rumour has us even more excited.

A new report claims that the 13 Reasons Why actress could be playing the grown-up daughter of Tony Stark and Pepper Potts.

Here. For. It.

Following the casting announcement, Marvel fans speculated whether Katherine, 22, could be playing one of the Young Avengers – perhaps Kate Bishop/Hawkeye or Cassie Lang – Sersi, or even Death.

Tony Stark and Pepper Potts
Pepper and Tony are believed to go on to have a child (Picture: Marvel)

But according to a ‘reliable source’ speaking to MCU Cosmic, Katherine could play the offspring of Iron Man and Pepper in a flash-forward scene.

Back in May, Gwyneth Paltrow spoke about her character Pepper’s future with Tony, telling Official Avengers: Infinity War magazine: ‘Pepper and Tony have had a really long journey together. She obviously starts as his dutiful assistant, and then the relationship evolves, and now this decade later they’re married, and they have a child.

‘Their relationship has evolved in all of the ways that great romances evolve.’

As Avengers 4 is rumoured to begin five years after the events of Infinity War, 22-year-old Katherine would be a bit old to play that child.

But a theory predicts that Tony could see his grown-up daughter in a flash-forward – and be forced to sacrifice her to reverse the Thanos snap.

Pretty gutting, right?

Of course, we won’t know who Katherine plays until we actually see the film next year – unless she pops up in the trailer, which is expected to drop before the year is out.

While half of the MCU was wiped out in the Thanos snap, we are expecting all our favourite heroes – even the ones who were turned to dust – back for the fourth installment of the franchise.

And one character will be coming back from the dead after Frank Grillo confirmed Crossbones will feature in flashback scenes.
